Silver Slide & Negative Scan prices are per frame or per slide. Pricing above applies to standard film formats* which include color and black & white 35mm slides & negatives, 126 slides, and APS/Advantix cartridges. Please see non-standard film prices below for other film types.

We can scan most any type of slide, negative, or photo. Our scanning equipment can handle black & white or color slides, negatives, and photos. Our standard pricing, (above,) applies to the most common types of film and photo sizes. However, many people have a few larger photos, and a few less common types of slides or negatives. We call these less common formats “special media” and have separate pricing which is outlined below. We understand that many people have no idea what type of film they have. Our turnaround times are better than most. However, many people don’t mind waiting a few weeks to receive their order, simply because their old slides, or shoe box of photos, have been sitting in the closet for years, out of sight and out of mind.

If you’ve read this far that old slide collection, or shoe box of photos, is likely the first thing you would rescue if there were a disaster, fire, flood, earthquake, or hurricane. Out of sight, and out of mind, is no place for something of such priceless value to you. We recommend you place a box of slides out where you’ll see them, or remove the shoe box from the closet and place it where you’ll see it to remind you of the importance of digitizing.

Once your valuables are in digital form you can always make a second copy for storage in a safe location or for another family member. Our turnaround times do vary with our work load. Orders of less than 200 images - One to Two Weeks
Orders between 200 and 1,000 images - Two to Four Weeks
Orders of up to 2,500 images - Three to Six Weeks
Orders larger than 2,500 images may require additional time to process.

There’s no need for you to count exactly how many photos, slides, or negatives you have before placing an order. After your total is determined we’ll contact you to collect payment for your order. Will scanning my negatives produce better results than scanning the prints made from those negatives?

Many people have their original negatives and a set of prints that correspond to those negatives. We recommend scanning the original negative if you have the option. Negatives contain much more detail than a typical 4x6 print from your local photo finisher. However, if you’re like most of us we’ve lost or misplaced our negatives. If we do have them they’re not as organized and may be in poor condition. If this is the case scanning your prints and photo albums is a great alternative.
