Gold
Slide & Negative Scans - Tour: Page 4

and negative scans include ROC color correction when necessary.
ROC color correction is great for severely faded images
but should be used as a last resort in cooperation with
manual color adjustment.

ROC Color Correction Explained:
What is ROC
Color Correction? ROC color correction restores color
to faded slides and negatives. The example below has a red
appearance. Meaning that the blue and yellow pigments in
the slide have faded while the reds have been better preserved.
This is typical with older slides and negatives. Fortunately
ROC color correction helps to repair the scanned image.
ROC color correction is included with our Silver and Gold
scanning services.
Before
Color Correction
Above: This is the image before any color correction was
performed.
After
ROC Color Correction Only
Above: This is the image after ROC color correction only,
similar to Silver Scanning.
After
Manual Color Correction using Gold Processing
Above: This is the image after manual color correction using
our Gold scanning. As you can
see ROC color correction is great for removing color cast
but manual adjustment is superior. The
image above was manually corrected using our Gold scanning.
The image in the middle is
similar to Silver scanning results.
